Did you guys watch UFC 122 on November 13th? Kill Cliff had three different fighters in the ring that night, and all three of them won! Fueled by Kill Cliff, they trained hard, fought hard, and came home winners!
The three fighters that went over the pond were Duane Ludwig, Kyle Noke, and Amir Sadollah.
Duane “Bang” Ludwig has a record of 20-11. He’s known for his knockout power, striking technique and for his KO win over former UFC Lightweight Champion, Jens Pulver. And in the early part of his fighting career, he was trained by Bas Rutten.
Duane fought Nick Osipczak in the welterweight division, and won by split decision. The match was mostly stand up, and the third round saw Ludwig land a big left early on and for the rest of the round, he harried Osipczak around the ring. Osipczack put out a fantastic effort, but it just wasn’t enough.
Aussie middleweight Kyle Noke (18-4) hails from Queensland, where he worked as a bodyguard for the late Steve Irwin. Eventually, he even started teaching Steve MMA. Noke eventually started training under Greg Jackson. Kyle Noke got into the UFC at the The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, where he triumphed over Josh Bryant.
Kyle Noke fought Rob Kimmons in a middleweight bout. Noke won by sinking in a deep rear naked choke on Kimmons at 1:22 in the second round.
And our other welterweight fighter is Amir Sadollah. Amir Sadollah was born in Brooklyn, New York but raised in Richmond, Virginia in an Iranian and Irish family. Amir began mixed martial arts as a way to stay in shape. Sadollah was one of the 52 successful candidates out of 250 applicants at the October 2007, International Fight League draft in Chicago, where he impressed Dana White and producers enough to to compete on The Ultimate Fighter. Amir went on to win the tournament and the title of the Ultimate Fighter.
Amir Sadollah fought against Peter Sabotta. Sadollah maintained complete control in the ring, and just dominated the match. He won by unanimous decision.
So make sure you crack open a can of Kill Cliff, the best sport recovery drink ever, in homage to these guys stepping in the ring and winning big.
