Breaking: Does CBD Block COVID-19? Oregon State Study Looks Promising

A peer-reviewed study in the Journal of Natural Products suggests compounds in cannabis—such as CBD—prevent the COVID-19 virus from entering human cells.

That includes Delta and Omicron.

Researchers affiliated with Oregon State University discovered that two cannabinoid acids found in hemp, such as the hemp used in the Kill Cliff line of CBD beverages, bind to those famous virus spikes and block the disease from infecting cells.

“Orally bioavailable and with a long history of safe human use, these cannabinoids, isolated or in hemp extracts, have the potential to prevent as well as treat infection by SARS-CoV-2,” the researchers wrote in an abstract of the study. The CBD and other compounds, they conclude, “have a good safety profile in humans.”

(Did someone say "bioavailable"? Kill Cliff has engineered the CBD to be absorbed into the bloodstream well before dilution happens, delivering far more of the “good stuff” faster.)

The Oregon State study points out that it’s not THC, the psychoactive ingredient in cannabis, that does the work. Instead, it’s the non-THC hemp compounds that are the game-changers.

While scientists start developing pharmaceuticals to prevent and treat covid-related illnesses using hemp products, Kill Cliff CBD drinks are already available in six flavors including the recently introduced Octane Killer Cliffsicle, which combines 25 mg of CBD distilled from 125 mg of help with 125 mg of clean, natural caffeine.

Other flavors in the CBD line include the Limited Edition Flaming Joe (Rogan) Spicy Pineapple, Orange Kush, Mango Tango, the G.O.A.T., and Strawberry Daze.

Disclaimer: Kill Cliff CBD drinks are not approved by anybody (yet!) for use as a covid or covid-related vaccine or treatment. You know what is? Vaccines! But Kill Cliff’s line of possibly-covid-preventing beverages is far more delicious.
