It’s a big weekend at Kill Cliff FC. Two KCFC fighters are busy Saturday night, one of them in the biggest fight of his life.
Adam Borics will face off against featherweight champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire in Bellator 286 in Long Beach, Calif. The headlining battle is more than for just the strap, according to Borics, who is 18-1 as a professional. (Pitbull is 33-5.) The Hungary-born Borics does not like being an underdog to Pitbull, although he admits that’s the reality right now.
He’s hoping to change that Saturday. And he’s been watching tape.
“In the beginning of course when he was younger, he was more active,” Borics told MMA Junkie in a podcast this week. “He’s now just kind of the guy who’s waiting for his counters and he doesn’t want to go high pace, but he’s still dangerous.
“He has really, really good eyes and, I mean he’s the best fighter in Bellator history I think, and I’m really happy I can fight with this guy. I want to be the best so if I want to be the best, I have to beat the best, and he is the best right now. He’s the pound-for-pound guy and after that, it’s gonna change.”
Bottom line for Borics:
“I just want to make a statement again,” Borics. “I feel like people are underestimating me, but I’m telling you, I’m one of the biggest prospects in this game.”

KCFC at UFC 280
Also on Saturday, Kill Cliff FC’s Brendan Allen (19-5) takes on Krzysztof Jotko (24-5) in the middleweight bout at UFC 280 in Las Vegas. You can see it for free on ESPN+.
Louisiana’s Allen, 26, is coming off a pair of victories to elevate back into the middle rankings. But he’ll have his work cut out for him in Poland’s Jotko, who, like Allen, is also coming off back-to-back victories and is hungry to climb to the top of the list.
Do you put your money on Jotko’s all-purpose MMA style or Allen’s deadly Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu? Tune in to find out!
