Kill Cliff’s Robbie Lawler Now on Main Card with Izzy Adesanya!

Breaking: Kill Cliff Fight Club fighter Robbie Lawler’s face off with Bryan Barberena has been promoted to the main card in July 2’s UFC 276. Their welterweight bout will lead off the pay-per-view portion of the night, with Kill Cliff middleweight champ Israel Adesanya defending his title for a fifth time as the headliner, squaring off with Jared Cannonier.

As if the evening couldn’t get more thrilling, featherweights stars Alexander Vokanovski and Max Holloway are the slated co-main event.

It all begins at 10 p.m. ET, 7 p.m. PT on ESPN+ from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

What’s at stake:

Kill Cliff’s Lawler, who has been at the fight game since 2001 (!), is a former UFC Welterweight Champion, EliteXC Middleweight Champion, and known for his aggressive fighting style.

But:

He lost four in a row until his last fight by TKOing Nick Diaz at UFC 266 in September. The Iowa native, 29-15-1, will be looking to keep that winning streak alive.

However:

Barberena, 17-8, is on a two-fight winning streak, his last appearance being a split-decision in March vs. Matt Brown at UFC on ESPN 33.

Why we love Robbie:

Because he loves US! From Heavy:

When asked about Kill Cliff, Lawler said “it’s a really good relationship,” explaining that before signing on with the company, it had been years since he drank energy drinks.

“It’s nice to have an energy drink that you don’t get that crash,” Lawler said. “And what you’re intaking is very healthy.

“Sometimes you’re just getting energy from these drinks, and it’s not healthy for you. You might get a nice little pick-me-up and a good flavor. But Kill Cliff has done a great job of having a clean-burning energy drink.

“They’ve helped me as a fighter sponsoring me, which in turn allows me to go out there and help all these other upcoming fighters.”

Ruthless finished by saying his favorite flavor is the Tasty Blood Orange.

Try it!

Here’s how to make a Blood Orange Paloma:

Fill a tall shaker with ice.

  • Add 2 ounces of your favorite tequila—Haas recommends a clear blanco tequila as “it has the most neutral flavor.”
  • Add ½ tablespoon of fresh lime juice or a long squeeze from the lime-shaped thingie in your fridge.
  • Shake to mix and pour into a classy see-through glass.
  • Add 6 ounces (half a can) of Kill Cliff Tasty Blood Orange.
  • Top off with a good glug of Topo Chico Mineral Water.

Before you gulp that down, take a look at your creation. Look at those colors! See how everything sits atop the other ingredients. You did that! Now drink it.
