In case you haven’t been paying attention, deltas are all over the news. Although that nasty Delta Variant accounts for most of the headlines, there’s another delta making its way up the chart, and that is Delta-8.
Nope, it’s not a souped-up car with a V8 engine. It’s actually a family member of one of Kill Cliff’s favorite relations: CBD.
What is Delta-8?
Delta-8 is formally known as Delta-8-tetrahydrocannbinol (THC)—you can see why we shorten it to Delta-8. It’s one of more than 100 cannabinoids available in the cannabis and hemp plants and, as you can see, it contains THC. THC is the thing that gets you high in cannabis.
Kill Cliff’s line of the world’s best tasting, clean CBD beverages do not, have not, and will not contain Delta-8 for a variety of reasons, the number one being, Kill Cliff is not about making you think fuzzy (although, it’s a pretty darned good mixer for your favorite spirits). Kill Cliff is about relaxing, recovery, restoring, and keeping you in the game, whatever your game may be.
Is Delta-8 legal?
The Delta-8 molecule has an iffy legacy of legality in the U.S. Its sister molecule, Delta-9, is the one derived from cannabis that remains outlawed by local and federal authorities in locations that don’t permit cannabis use, which puts her off limits in wide swaths of the country. Delta-9 is the thing that makes pot, pot.
But Delta-8, which is largely derived from hemp, isn’t outright outlawed even though there are reports across the country of users getting high after ingesting Delta-8. Not Delta-9 high, but still, high. Delta-8 is also known as “diet weed” and “marijuana-lite.”
Does Delta-8 show up in drug tests?
Which means it may show up in a drug test as a banned substance, another reason Kill Cliff is made with 25mg of pure, non-intoxicating CBD, extracted from 125 grams of hemp. It won’t show up in your pee or blood stream, because it doesn’t have to: Kill Cliff’s CBD beverages are legal everywhere.
Delta-8 is often created by blending cannabinoids from various sources, which makes it difficult to measure the THC from batch to batch. Some of it is mixed by amateurs using found chemicals trying to make a buck in home labs, which threatens the purity.
Is Delta-8 the same as CBD?
The bottom line: Delta-8 is NOT the same as CBD. Delta-8 is psychoactive. Delta-8 is dubiously legal. Delta-8 is said to cause confusion, anxiety, sleepiness, and other assorted ailments you don’t need to inflict on yourself. Delta-8 sometimes looks like Delta-9 in drug tests.
To repeat, Kill Cliff’s line of delicious-tasting, clean CBD drinks do not and will not contain Delta-8. Bottom’s up!
CBD gummies, CBD tinctures, CBD vape oil, CBD creams, CBD bath bombs, and anything CBD for dogs won’t be as effective as a clean energy beverage like Kill Cliff with 25mg of CBD.
Real Science + Killer Taste = Kill Cliff CBD. Enjoy.
