Kill Cliff FC heavyweight Daiqwon Buckley, boasting an undefeated record in his young career (he’s 3-0-0), takes on 5-0-0 Jordan Heiderman Friday night in the Legacy Fighting Alliance’s FLA 144 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, SD.
Someone will come away with their first negative number in the co-main event for the night. Who will it be?
The 26-year-old Buckley, weighing in at a whopping 245 (at 5’10, he looks BIG), has a KO and two decisions to his credit. The Pennsylvania native faces off against the taller (6’3) Heiderman, weighing in at 242. The former UFC Ultimate Fighter (Season 30) will likely to try to take Buckley to the ground where he’ll no doubt go for a submission—he wins that way 40 percent of the time.
But Buckley’s history of TKOs for submission to punches could find him on top, literally. He’s also won as an amateur by keylock, so we’ll see.
The same card finds KCFC’s Adamu Isah going for his second win ever (he’s 1-0) against Mateo “Mighty” Gonzalez (3-0) in the bantamweight bout.
Isah, a 25-year-old taekwondo specialist from Minnesota by way of Nigeria, won his professional debut in April against Andrew Triolo by TKO (submission to punches). Looking at his Instagram photos from the Kill Cliff FC gym, he looks as if he’s added a few protein shakes to his diet.
If Isah can maintain his speed with that additional muscle, Mighty Gonzalez, from Lubbock, Texas, could be in trouble early.
We’ll be watching the entire card on UFC Fight Pass.
