The Navy SEAL Foundation Joggin' For Frogmen 5k is right around the corner. The series of races brings communities and families together to jog in honor of the Naval Special Warfare Community and their families.
You can join the race at one of these six cities: Amelia Island, FL (May 19th), Imperial, NE (May 26th), San Diego, CA (June 28th), Louisville, KY (September 22nd), Pittsburgh, PA (September 29th), and Virginia Beach, VA (October 13th).
Created in 2011 by the girlfriend of a Navy SEAL, the original Joggin’ for Frogmen 5k Run/Walk was held in San Diego on July 29, 2012. The race marked the one-year anniversary of the Extortion 17 helicopter tragedy in Afghanistan, a tribute to the 30 American warriors and 1 working dog lost that fateful day.
Joggin’ for Frogmen has since expanded to several annual races across the United States. In addition to attending one of these races in person, runners are also able to register as a Virtual Racer and run anywhere in the world or set up a fundraising page to continue supporting the Navy SEAL Foundation. Participants can choose a race from anywhere around the world and raise funds to support the Naval Special Warfare Community. If you can't run for the cause, you can still donate to the Navy SEAL Foundation.
Today, Joggin’ for Frogmen is operated by the Navy SEAL Foundation, a non-profit organization with 501(c)(3) status. Kill Cliff is an official partner of the Navy SEAL Foundation and we are excited to sponsor this special event.
